Another extremely rare CS projectile in great
condition. Verbal provenance of Shiloh Battlefield.
The only other place these have been dug is
Port Hudson, La.

    ART 4.  Excavated U.S. 2.6" Hotchkiss shell.
Yet another super rare shell, this baby Hotchkiss
was fired from a Wiard Mountain Rifle. Dug
near Freeman's Ford, Va.

ART 5.  C.S. 3" Broun Shell.
Long pattern type that has been fitted with a
wrought iron sabot. This was, according to
Jack Melton, done to some late war ammunition
that was salvaged from the battlefield. Verbal
provenance states that this unique shell was
 picked up near Cedar Creek, Va.

Dug 3.31" Schenkl shell.
Really slick shell that was dug by my friend
Mick Aderholt near Coosawhatchie, SC. He
cleaned this shell himself and it is superb.
Fired from a 3.4" Rifled Boat Howitzer.

very good condition, only even, minor pitting.

Really good iron and thick sabot. Faint rifling
marks indicate that it was fired from a C.S.
Parrot Rifle. The hole in the base is a mystery.

100% Complete, dug in the 60's near Richmond,
Va. You can make out the 1862 date and "TOWER"
on the lock plate. I cannot emphasize how rare it is
to to get a truly dug Civil War long arm in this
